The Airport Pub

The Airport Pub is a pub with a large garden backing onto the threshold of runway 23R. It's possible to get great shots of aircraft landing and taxying so close that you can feel the heat off the engines and smell the fuel. Taxying aircraft do get in the way of landing photos though because the garden is at ground level. A pay-and-display car park is in operation there because the pub gets quite busy during the day. There are some local roads you may be able to get away with parking on but the residents don't particularly like cars cluttering up their road! Also watch out for double-yellow lines!
